When this happens, it is unfortunate, as many people who would otherwise benefit from chiropractic treatment forego it- often in exchange for more dangerous alternatives.

Myth: Chiropractic treatments are too dangerous.

Fact: Many studies have shown that Chiropractic adjustments are safer than many ordinary activities such as professional shampooing, break dancing, and stargazing- all of which place strain on the neck.


Myth: Prescription drugs are safe.

Fact: Prescription medications are the third greatest cause of death in the United States. Chiropractic care, by contrast, offers a safe and drug-free approach to many common ailments.


Myth: Once you receive Chiropractic treatment, you will become addicted.

Fact: Regular Chiropractic adjustments are just a part of a normal and healthy lifestyle. The choice of whether or not to continue with it is up to the individual.

Myth: Your bones and joints can be damaged during an adjustment.

Fact: The noise is really only the release of CO2 gas from the joints of the spine. That is what creates that particular popping sound you hear during the adjustments. There are also noise free treatments for those who are averse to the popping sound.

Fact: Many insurance companies offer coverage for Chiropractic adjustments as they have found that the benefits of preventative Chiropractic care are far preferable to drugs and invasive surgery.
