The Carlson Chiropractic Patient Highlight
Meet Mary Ann Neff. A property manager from the city of Joplin. We recently caught up with Mary Ann to chat with her about her experience with Carlson Chiropractic.
Pre Treatment
Between work and her family, Mary Ann lives a busy life. As a property manager, she is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of her properties, attracting tenants, and showing properties. One day, while traveling on the road for work, the unexpected happened, and she was in a car accident that left her in a lot of pain.
“After the accident, I had some serious alignment issues. I couldn’t turn my head because of the pain in my neck,” she explains. Afraid of more serious damage to her neck and spine, Mary Ann contacted Carlson Chiropractic.
Treatment
The spine is a complex structure made up of many parts. During a car accident, your head and body are quickly shifted in different, unnatural directions. This can cause a variety of injuries to the joints and muscles. Usually, symptoms of car accident injuries, such as stiffness, headaches, or fatigue, appear within a couple of days following a crash. Even if you feel fine, it is important to consult with a doctor to ensure that there is no more serious underlying damage.
Thankfully for Mary Ann, the pain she was experiencing was caused solely by misalignment in her spine, and the road to recovery could be found with routine chiropractic care. “The treatment with Dr. Carlson is always amazing. I don’t have to wait; I get in, I get out. He does a great job. He always asks, ‘is there anything else you need?’ He’s a very good chiropractor.”
Post Treatment
After just a few visits at Carlson Chiropractic, receiving regular adjustments with Dr. Carlson, Mary Ann was able to begin correcting the damage caused by her unfortunate accident, and she can start experiencing relief. We followed up with Mary Ann before the end of her treatment, and she told us that despite the severity of the injury, her pain, as she says, is “almost completely gone.”
